Friday’s 5 at 5: Etsy Shopping

I haven’t shopped Etsy very much. But I found some pretty awesome stuff there that I wanted to share with you.

  1. Ikabags. These eco friendly French bags are so classy for both men and women. I would love to have one of everything in this shop! Seriously, you can’t help but fall in love with these bags which includes diaper bags, messenger bags and so much more.
  2. Delezhen Handmade Jewelry. Such pretty handmade necklaces and rings. I would love to own this piece of necklace with initials of my children.
  3. Note Trunk. Great price for the cutest return address stamps. Gorgoeous calligraphy stamps that will bring snail mail back in fashion. And all at a reasonable price.
  4. Sarah Jane Studios. The ever so talented Sarah illustrates the cutest prints for children. I have purchased a few of her artwork for the girls’ pink bedroom. Now she has fabric! I haven’t gotten my hands on her fabric yet, but I want to so bad. They are adorable!
  5. Crochet My Love. Many of you asked me for the patterns of crochet hats I have made. Some of them I purchased from this Etsy shop.

Instagram: Sandwiches

This whole trying to lose weight thing has really got me thinking about what I eat. My eating habits aren’t too bad. I don’t drink soft drinks and I only drink juices occasionally. I don’t like chocolate so that knocks out a lot of the candy bars and desserts. Yet I do have a sweet tooth, mostly dessert or ice cream. I think my biggest problem is portion control. And I need to eat more fruits and vegetables. I don’t mind eating fruits and vegetables if it is in front of me and ready to eat. So yesterday I made this avocado sandwich with tomato, lettuce and cheese on sourdough bread. Simple yet delicious.

Tid Bits

Kaye will end her kindergarten career next Friday. Yeah. Crazy. That went by much too fast for me. I am trying to plan somethings for us to do in the summer to keep the kids busy. But before I get to that here is what we have been doing lately…

Kaye had her awards day at school. She received the Creative Writer Award. That make her mommy proud. She says she wants to be an author and illustrator when she grows up, so she is on the right track.

She also had field day where they had bunch of fun activities outside. I have been at the school quite a bit these last few weeks of school. But it’s nice because I was able to get pictures of her at school.

We have been celebrating a lot. My birthday at the end of April, Nathan’s a week later, then a week and half later it was Mother’s Day and yesterday was our anniversary. All within a month. We love to party!

We even attended birthday parties for friends. Elle even overcame her fear of inflatables and went down a slide by herself.

And this little girl has been keeping me busy. She is trying to walk at 8 months old. It is helping her get into her sister’s stuff. She is loving it. I don’t think I am ready for this. She is growing up way too fast for me.

The girls also have their dance recitals coming up so we are gearing up for that. It is always so fun to see their hard work come together at the end of the year.
